Ø Girls All-Freshmen
Teams 2010
Because of the unique impact of freshmen on the girls’ varsity
game, the LHSSCA recognizes an All-Freshmen team for girls each year. Member coaches are asked to nominate players,
and a selection committee of veteran coaches from across the state participates
in the selections.

The 2011 winner of this award is Sarah Gaudet of St. Scholastica
Academy in Covington.
The 2010 winner of this award is Kristen Armstrong of St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge.
The 2009 winner of this award is Kate Holladay of
Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge.
The 2008 winner of the first annual Robyn DesOrmeaux
Courage Award was Kathryn “Lizzy” Coleman of Zachary High School.
Coach Shelley McMillian of Calvary Baptist School is our 2011
recipient.
Coach Shaun Crochet of Hahnville High School is the recipient of
the 2010 award.
Coach Anthony Neeson of St. Michael
the Archangel High School in Baton Rouge was honored with the 2009 award.
Coach Shane Wilber of DeRidder High
School was selected as the 2008 winner of the first Milt Gaudet
Award.

Award
Hannah Thomson of Caddo Magnet High School and Ashley Allen of
Pope John Paul II High School received this award in 2011.
Michelle Saucier of Mount Carmel was honored as the inaugural
female recipient of this award in 2010.
Everette Fontenot of Teurlings Catholic was honored as the inaugural male
recipient of this award in 2010.
